The racer’s version of
Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
There was nuthin’ we didn’t do...

My big, fat racing adventure
For some it is the Vatican, others Mecca or The Wailing Wall; for me, the Holy Land is Europe, more specifically LeMans. I’ve been addicted to racing in an unholy way for a very, very long time. This was to be my first journey to Europe, and it was a good one. Traveling with four other friends, all of whom I’ve raced against in roadrace karts,
we would ultimately wind up at the 24 Hours of LeMans. But not before experiencing British Touring Cars at Oulton Park, a track day at the Spa-Francorchamps F1 circuit and some very fast indoor karting in London. A few months later now, and I still find myself basking in the afterglow, a silly smile on my face, smoking the proverbial world’s longest cigarette
