My big, fat racing adventure
A trip to the countryside

Manor Motorsport's Formula Renault 2000s were looking all Virgin-like (they run the F1 team too).
The final action of the day was the BTCC cars going on to final qualifying. An LPG-powered Ford Focus ST took pole, and seems to be the most powerful engine out there at the moment. Listening to the BTCC drivers rev these 2 liter, four cylinder cars for all they are worth and drive them at the edge of control was a real treat.

Last thing of note to course workers everywhere: there were LOADS of Royal Auto Club course workers everywhere. I counted 18 workers between turns 2 and 3! They didn't seem to be any quicker in getting trashed cars out of the way, though.

See all those orange-suited folks? Those are course workers. SCCA stewards, eat your hearts out.
