You know what it looks like: that leftover, sticky residue when you remove adhesive decals or body decoration tape. It's hard as heck to remove, unsightly and gets worse-looking if left on. Remove that residue easily with the use of two relatively gentle solvent products: Rubber Cement Thinner (available in most good art supply stores) and Denatured Alcohol (from your local hardware store). The thinner will take off 95% of all adhesives, even most dried-on glues. What you can't remove with thinner, the denatured alcohol will clean. Note that when used with care, and after having read the can labels first, neither solvent will damage paintwork or plastics/fiberglass/carbon fiber.
